Upping the level in uniqueness because I’ve got the award!

Minoa has pointed it out; it is going to become a classic!

I still do think that I have been steering away from my original goal in which I’ve talked about in my 100 followers post. I mean, I do believe that my anime blog is pretty much similar everyone else’s; lots of love poured into them!

HOWEVER.

The one thing about my blog in which I’d never let go of the throttle for, was the use of memes and anything else meme-worthy.

Today I bring you an extra. Courtesy of Loliconics!

I just don’t know what to laugh at; Sagiri? The poor man or his broken broom?

I would like to thank Auri-san for handing over such a unique award to me. I will have to agree with her that right now, it is the Awards Season and man, this is getting heavy all of a sudden!

The Rules

  1. Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  4. Ask them 3 questions.

アウリさんが三つの質問だ / Auri-san has three questions!

* I don’t like flowers. Do you? Daisies or Daffodils?

I do like flowers but I do not like whatever else that comes with them!
Yes. I’m talking about bees in most cases.

I will do an off-the-track answer first; the flowers I would love to have the most are lilies!
Now, if I have to really choose between those two from your question, Auri-san, I’d hands down go for Daisies.

I will go for Kyoukai no Kanata‘s ending theme song of the same name, also.

** You’re in a bus listening to music (also holding that bouquet of flowers aforementioned)  when someone pulls out a knife and begins to threaten the person in front of you. What do you do?

Do you know that the lily flower’s message is to take a regal stance and embrace your own power? Remember that renewal is just around the corner and that the end of one thing heralds the beginning of another.
To put my answer into context… actually I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about.

Let me imagine the scenario now…
I’m in a bus… I’m most likely going to be listening to this, even if I’m holding onto a bouquet of lilies.

So when the threat happens, what would I do?
I hope you have read from somewhere that I am HEAVY on DIY (Do It Yourself). I’ll embrace the ninja kickassery from this song and sort out the ordeal myself.

Of course, it will go down ugly. If violence is involved then it can never end pretty, that’s for sure.

*** After the deal with the knife dude settles down, the bus breaks down. (God, this bus sucks) In the middle of nowhere. Do you have the things you need to survive in your backpack?

As much as I would like to boast about my cool self, if this really happens then it will most likely be the other way around of ‘cool’. I have never cared about packing anything more than a few hours worth of essentials into my bag, it’s always just a jacket and a bottle of water, sunscreen in summer and petroleum gel in winter. No food whatsoever.

Seriously, if by God’s will to have me in hell for this to really happen at some point in my life, I will pray that I won’t end up in a situation like Suou Amane and her Angelic Howl. (It’s pretty screwed up so you decide whether to read or not…)

My Nominees

This is frankly the most difficult part since I have no friends…

  1. Raistlin o-kyuu-o-san — I hope you realize that is how Japanese sometimes say 0903 while at the same time I managed to fit in the –san honorific. Praise me, my lord!
  2. Yahari Bento!!
  3. Plyassan
  4. Remy-kun
  5. Irinacchi — take that spam!
  6. Arria-senpai
  7. Panties-kun — Don’t die off just yet. You still have this one to go!
  8. Karandi-senpai
  9. Alfreo-nii
  10. Ayron-san

I think this is obvious but I’m basically recommending great blogs over and over again. However, if any of you want to actually tackle my saucy questions then look below!

My Questions

  1. Which anime show best describes your life?
  2. What are your favorite anime shows crossover?
    Or parody series?
    Or both? (screw it)
  3. Have you ever started watching an anime show only because you became interested in a certain character?

A few extra important things (see how unique I am right now with an award post)!

Irina is really working hard to start her Monthly Girls Nozaki
monthly feature post section/category in which new bloggers get to have some lights shining on them. This can literally be you!
She is doing so to promote friendly and positively encouraging people who, more than obvious enough, deserve recognition. If I have to pull out the most realistic example then it would be no other than Irina herself. I still believe in this myth about Canadians being the nicest people on Earth and she is of one. Ah! No wonder!

The proof? Her insanely quick rise in popularity among anime bloggers in WordPress community. Do note that she started her blog five months after me. The moment her follower count surpasses mine, I will be looking at her well-deserving achievement the exact same way I look at the comet Charlotte, a once in a lifetime experience–precisely once every 111 and a half years but I will not live that long (lol).

Will you live that long, though?

Currently being the bigger one between the two of us, I clearly have made a bad example of myself as the senpai. Feature posts can easily be written up on the day that I want to post them, but I chose a lazy route to recognizing others’ efforts.

I dig these.png
“Posts that I like” section

This is not something I encourage you to do if you happen to be a big dog. Supporting others is never a bad move, no matter how small. I love giving and taking the most, actually.

Wait, despite talking down on myself I’m actually doing the supporting job right now. Don’t mind me and read on!

If this has garnered your interest in any way…

I know that I have readers who really frequent this blog of mine, the stats say that much!
If you really love reading whatever nonsense I have to say about anime or anything else unrelated, I do think that maybe you also have your own voice, or in this case the hands to type.

We anime bloggers in WordPress are no biting dogs; we are mostly human beings that can always rave about anime the same way you do.
To my biggest surprise, unlike many places where large amount of people gather up to comment on anime works, WordPress happens to hold some of the most positive vibe communities I have ever witnessed in my entire life. That alone is enough to keep me pumping out blog posts.
Sometimes and frankly it is rare but you do get disagreements which is absolutely normal. It is bound to happen eventually and the sooner, the better. Still surprising me today, is how nobody outright degrades you for your opinion. Most of us know where we stand so…

If we don’t have anything nice to say then we say nothing (to that person’s opinionated post) at all.

Yeah, really...
Pro Tip: Save the rants for your blog, and only your own blog!

The first step can be overwhelming, but the lack of exposure is probably the best weapon you will ever have when it comes to combating mistakes. Anonymity is your friend when you are still learning the ropes. To top it all off, there is absolutely nothing to lose since everything is free!
Though I’m such a pig for using just over half of the allotted media storage after nine months of blogging. I wonder how others keep up with theirs…

That’s right. I’m always wondering; this is my blog of wonders.

Shall you be over with the initial phase and become filled with aspiration, you can seriously just create a blog and use my theme to begin. Don’t worry about being ‘unique’ (haha and I’m telling you this in The Unique Blogger Award post) since free users have limited amount of themes they can choose from. True uniqueness will naturally appear as you put more work into your blog.

Feeling inspired now? Get started soon!

Okay, once again I have outdone myself big time. I initially intended to just do the award ‘thing’ and get it over with. I just happened to stumble upon Irina’s very post while having a shower (yes, I do take my phone into the shower with me).

It was at this moment Shoka knew he f***ed up.

As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Congrats and thanks for the nomination.
I’m going to answer your questions here because even if I say I’ll follow up with a post, I know from past experience I’ll forget.
    1. If there is an anime that describes my life, I’m not watching it. My life would be incredibly dull as an anime suffering from the usual hang ups of repetitive dialogue, annoying side characters, dull protagonist, no forward plot progression for episodes at a time and then everything happening all at once (so rushed arc conclusions). Don’t ever let there be an anime like this.
    2. Not really sure about this one though I’ll probably go with a parody and say I really enjoyed Sword Art Online Abridged. I still don’t know why that was so appealing but I found it hilarious.
    3. And as to three, no I’ve never watched an anime just because of an interest in a single character. A premise might hold my interest even if everything else is terrible, but a single character probably isn’t going to be enough for me to keep watching.

      1. Oh no, by breaking I meant that you exceed my expectations to the very end. Given that the second comment also gave a logical answer to the first question, it comes down to me being a little stupid in making up questions… 😣

I think I have the read fast part but not the type fast. The real power we all needed back in high school was probably to write fast; English exams are hell, right?!

  2. Congratulations on your award. I thought I would post my answers to your question.

    1. Which anime show best describes your life?
    A. I don’t think there is an anime about a friendless guy who goes to work then spends the
rest of his night watching anime.
    2. What are your favorite anime shows crossover?
A: I actually don’t like crossover episodes. I think they take away from the originality and
    continuity of the anime.
    Or parody series?
    Or both? (screw it)
    3. Have you ever started watching an anime show only because you became interested in a certain character?
    A. That would be a big yes. In fact it is one that changed my life. I had watched anime plenty of times before, but was growing out of it. Then I seen this little kid with a monkey’s tail. I was hooked on Dragon Ball after the first episode and anime in general ever since.

    1. Wow I don’t think anyone is going to have illogical answers for the first question.

What I’ve learned based on the first two replies: I’m a little stupid when it comes to questions!

If you do love Dragon Ball then I’m sure the abridged series would uplift the comedy my miles!
Still on the topic of Drago Ball; I’m amazed that monkey boy is actually charming enough to become a deal breaker for some anime fans.

Hey, thanks a bunch for your answers! It’s lovely to know that there are more people reading my ramblings than I thought. 🙂

  3. First off: congratulations on your nomination. I have been following your blog for a few weeks now, and I think it is awesome. You really deserve the award, and I hope you wil; continue with it for a very long time.
And now of course onto more praise: thank you so much for nominating me, it is totally awesome: and I learned something new in the way you wrote my blogs name which is even more awesome. I am running a bot behind on these awards, but I will try my best to write a post for it as soon as I can. Thanks again for this supercool mention, and keep up the terrific work you are doing with your blog 😀

  4. Congrats on that nomination and shit, I should be listening to Earphones now after hearing that great song!

Also I appreciate your nomination for me, I’m already thinking about the answers for your questions… 😀

    1. Did you hear that song in Animegataris episode 3? XD

I thought I was having it played on another window or something but it was a real deal, they actually played it rofl!

  5. I think this post clearly shows what’s so unique about this blog. I loved it so much! It’s the bestest! Please stop overselling my blog though, it will lead to nothing but crushing disappointment.

In all seriousness, this was a very pretty post. True story, I also have the widget showing posts I liked – I stole the idea from this blog. It feels so good to finally admit it…

    1. Do you know how to flatter yourself?
I think I did just that. Reading your appreciation comment doesn’t help me putting it back straight either, fam~

And it was you who oversold my blog first!!! 😲
At least we both know which one deserves the profit more, even if you don’t humbly agree!

  6. Thanks for answering Shoka-san!
Oh! T-There’s no need to call me Auri-san! Auri-kun is fine. Oh wait, I’m a girl. Sorry, I mean Auri-chan. But Auri-kun sounds so much better…. Well, I’ll leave it up to your discretion. Just Auri is fine too~
    Thanks again!

  7. Loved the post and how you’re spreading the world for the monthly blogwarming party~

    1. Any series with a drifting, aimless protagonist sums me up.
    2. The only one that comes to mind is when some of the characters from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle showed up in Kobato when it comes to crossover episodes. A lot of comedy in anime relies on references and parodies, though!
    3. I liked the blue-haired chick in S2 of Infinite Stratos. Made me watch one episode even though I dislike the franchise.

    Keep being awesome!

    1. Now that’s the overly ambitious Remy that I know. Thank you!
It was casual as hell, Irina and I just flipped the comments on her post while I was still in the shower. You can see it being the first comment on the post.

There are so many characters that made me watch their respective shows I lost count. I’m hoping that somebody would at least share this experience with me and I’m glad that you did!

anyways, those are some random questions, lol and i like how you really took time to answer.
the blog warming party is a wonderful idea, and I can’t wait to see all your effort and love combine into a thriving ani-cimmunity
    cheers!!!

My questions are so stupid I want to redo at least the first one so bad…

Spreading the love around is easier than shooting a love arrow to one particular person in my opinion. ❤
Wear some pants before you join in spreading the love. We don't want anything else spreading as well, ya know…

      1. those are awful questions.
……i kid. XD atleast it’s anime related so ican work off that.

and hey, i can’t promise anything.
tbh, i’m not that sociable, but i do support the big blog orgy. *thumbs up*
