SHOKAMOKA as an acronym actually makes up a nice Plan to Watch list!

Firstly, I give my shout outs to Aldael, over at his attic! Thank you for the long-awaited tag. Y’all can check out his take on this mini game here. Do it!

This tagging game existed way long before I became a part of so I’ll have to admit my lack of knowledge on its specifics. From what I’ve noticed when I back-traced a few posts from this chain, the so called PTW was originally TBR or To Be Read — it is from the book-loving community. The specifics of this tag miraculously evolved when it reached the anime blogging community. Let this be a legit proof of a micro evolution that happened on the internet.

I am not so much with books or light novels on that matter. I do try to get myself into reading more LNs these days but unlike reading blog posts, which is personalities galore, reading LN requires me to set my mood to match with its settings. That said, the only LN I’m reading right now is If It’s For My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat A Demon Lord.

I’d initially thought that my PTW list was relatively small compared to most of you.

I was sure wrong.

With over sixty titles and still counting, there are just about the right number of titles to make up an acronym for my alias. Most shocking of all, these titles are relatively mainstream so feel free to question my existence.

Time to cringe~

S — Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi

Much more known to this world as Spirited Away (coincidentally starting with an S, too!), the movie is among many titles from Miyazaki Hayao which have sat on my PTW list for at least three years and still counting. Not much introduction and explanation is needed from my side since you can legit ask the next person to you, who you think knows anime and chances are that they will have you go through a nice lecture.

 

H — Hanasaku Iroha

Apparently this is the starter of Working Series by P.A. Works. Not having watched this make me feel like I disrespect the studio for every time I hail the next work in line, Shirobako, to be among the best love letter to anime as a medium and one of the best wworing environment shows in existence. This one would be quick to leave my PTW list since I’m into perfect completions and I know that I am one show away from completing the Working Series; I’ve completed Shirobako and Sakura Quest.

 

O — Ouran Koukou Host Club

OOOoooh! The golden standard for reverse harem; that much I was told. Having titles like this in my PTW list makes me excited as I always know when I’m truly out of things to willingly watch, these guys will most definitely have my back.

 

K — Kud Wafter

Well. This one is going to stay on many Little Busters’ fans’ PTW list for a while. It is the adaptation from the spin-off visual novel of the same name, where the absolute main heroine is Kud instead of Rin. Like you, an LB fan, I am hella excited!

A — Amanchu!

I claim myself to be a slice of life veteran yet I’m showing my true colors with this entry (darn you, Aldael). Look, because it is an iyashikei, I will save it for when I’m feeling down the drain.

In fact, if you haven’t watched it then you should do the same.

 

M — Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Movie: Hoshi wo Yobu Shoujo

I haven’t forgot this: come at me, Panties!

Okay, I know the hype surrounding this was rabid as heck within the fandom. Despite the fact that Madhouse wasn’t going to return for the movie, many were still eager to see it happen. I’m still in the backline as this movie is still sitting in my PTW list. No guarantee about this one getting out sooner than most.

 

O — Owarimonogatari Second Season

But wait, Shoka.

You haven’t even seen the very first of Monogatari series?!

Well, duh. I’m fond of putting pictures of final bosses on my wall so I know where my motivation to finish large series like this comes from in the future.

 

K — Kuroko no Basuke

I know… I know. You are definitely reading it right. I’m sorry. I’ll go hide now and reappear when this gets its deserving completion.

 

A — AnoHana

This one isn’t surprising since it was one of the entries for my sixth day of 30 Day Anime Challenge. Nothing has changed since that day, really.

And that’s a wrap!

I felt like I’ve put out my weakest points as an avid anime watcher. I’m sure that some of you will be quick to even give me a cyber punch for even letting the world see these titles in a PTW list. I know that one’s lifespan will never be able to cover all of anime in existence.

That’s really why we have a list; so we know which shows to get to first, no?!

 

Time to show some more true colors!

Plyasm has been complaining about his PTW list so I’m eager to see if it is bad enough to make out his alias or not. Are you keen as well, guys?!

I’m also keen to see idol lovers Leap and Alfredo fill their list with over nine thousand variations of idol type show. Let me see them!

I was really excited that Aldael tagged me in this. I am not sure if I can say that again now…
