Aaaaaaaaaah! Here comes the appreciaaaaaaaaaation!

As busy as I can be, I have been asked a favor by headmaster of the nomination cult to actually complete one important award tag since she means it with all(?) of her heart.

This is the only one you actually have to do Shoka…please?

 

So here I am — back at it with my smartphone. I’ve recently relearned to browse my blog while requesting a desktop site on it, which makes everything a few additional steps to my learning curve. I think that I’ve said it somewhere but Android’s WordPress application is trashy at creating posts but in the far opposite side when it comes to reading and/or socializing with other bloggers.

While I may be a bit of a narcissist, if I find even a single plus point of something/somebody, I will not stop praising it to heaven.
I guess I can’t really come up with anything good about myself that’s worth a paragraph, after all. I know for sure that it is a lot easier to tell others about their nice parts—not that I’m expecting any—so I find it natural that others do the same to me. As much of a myth as it can be, people who tell you that they are ‘nice’ are usually the least deserving of that praise from you. So yeah, do tell me! 🙂

(3)   Nominate and notify as many bloggers as you wish.

Going the extra mile

 

I’m going to just couple it up with the award since everything I have to say are within the lines of my appreciation to other bloggers and of course, you readers; even more so for those who have done more than just reading my rambles.
You know who you are~

Let us begin with the most obvious:
When I think about blog success in general, nothing short of Irina would always appear in my train of thoughts. It was never about numeric stats or figures, but rather what she has been able to do—within a short amount of time—beyond my capabilities. I had to browse her world-wide blog in order to find a certain abstract which contained her appreciative sentiments for me.

Shoka is one of the first people to regularly interact with me and my blog and possibly THE person who made me feel the most welcomed when I first started out. His influence is in no small part what motivated me to put in the effort to reach out and be a more active part of the community. So Thank you very much Shoka for helping me grow as I’m sure you’ve helped countless others.

I’m not linking to that certain post so you can have fun searching for it like I did.

Now, let me ask you, especially bloggers who happen to read this:

 

Have you ever felt this way with Irina herself?

 

What do you think this looks like from afar?
Irina carried on doing what I have done before her time in this community?

Again, I could have been pulling the absolute smug face in any given time since they are her claims and therefore the credits have been handed to me by no other than Irina herself. I can’t however, take full credits from her claims and here is why:
This entire event reminds me of your typical anime story where a character becomes stronger with the help of their friends and/or those who care.
Or you know what, let me use a real life analogy.

Naturally, if I am to hold open the door for someone, I would expect them to come in/go out. The most important part has to be how they will pass through and frankly, this is where I think she deserves at least ninety percent of the credits. Here are some of the possibilities for encounters both you and I can run into shall we hold open a door for someone:

• They quickly pass through, quietly.
• They thank you before quickly passing through.
• They quickly pass through and then thank you.
• They quickly pass through while thanking you.
• They slowly pass through, quietly.
• They thank you before slowly passing through.
• They slowly pass through and then thank you.
• They slowly pass through while thanking you.
• They pass through, thanking you and actually looks back to see (and maybe ask) how you are doing, hence the potential in newfound acquaintance.

 

This can happen in any kind of situation that involves meeting a stranger and I would be lying with my pants on fire if I am to tell you that Irina was not a stranger to me at some point. Sure, according to her I am probably that person who held the door open but you all have seen how she passed through.
Our lovely Irina will not leave you hanging. She will most likely not make your efforts for her go in vain. If anything—not that you should be expecting it—she will return the favor in folds. Her kind of people tend to end up as a mother figure so with a large number of followers guaranteed, there will come a time when she is at her limit for direct appreciations, something you can totally see in not just hers but everyone else’s earlier appreciation posts such as 50/100/200 followers celebration.

Positivity is usually not something people would force themselves to produce; it comes naturally. It is one of the attributes that make up a person’s personality and I think that she has too much of it — naturally she would be spreading it around the blogging community right about now.
This is what can happen when you welcome someone into the club. Most of the time you will not have any idea on the potential an individual can place into the community until they feel welcomed.

A smaller part of my reason has to do with how it did not have to be me who welcomed her first. There are plenty of heartwarming bloggers roaming out and about. Just think about it, given the state of this tiny community we have right now. I am sure you might have wondered a little as to where that certain someone was at the time, which brings me to talk about that guy, who obviously deserves my grand appreciation…

He is the greatfather of socialization in our tiny yet ever-growing blogging community. If you ever consider yourself a part of it at all then you can at the very least expect his presence on your blog, because he will make it clear as day.

An extraordinary blogger who covers wide angles of entertainment, hogs all of your comment sections as if they all belong to him. He has earned respect from many, including some of us who are keen enough to prove this with extra-mile efforts. Irina and Dave over at MoeGamer have been screwing around to make this philosophical piece which I can wholeheartedly agree on.

Seriously, just give the guy a nudge because really…

Michel would probably admit it himself since I’m calling him out right now; he was surely late in discovering me and my blog, haha!

I will share a little story as to how he ended up hogging my comment sections in the same way he did with everyone else:

Back a while ago when Irina’s blog started blooming and gone booming, I’d also began to check out every one of her posts after a few days (still do) to see how much they can attract this blogging community, comment wise. Michel was that one guy I’d seen on nearly everyone’s blog, and his comments almost always consist of his reaction to your post — fully described within, reactions to his reactions, either his second thoughts or those times he mean it — in brackets and run-on sentences between semicolons. Eventually I sneaked into one of Irina’s post which he’d commented on and started a very tiny conversation with him, right in her post. Naturally, after letting him get some serious impression that I’m that sociable, he’d later come to hog the comment section of my posts from that point on. Some of the earliest ones were my write-ups for Two Car, as much as I could remember.

Tied to his wild comments were always his full-on positive intentions of praising my efforts and probably before or now yours. Michel will always let you know that you have done a good job no matter how realistically shit your posts seem to you. It is this positivity from him which fuels courage for other bloggers around the sphere of this community. Like, even if the content of my post has absolutely nothing to do with him (most frequent instances being that he hasn’t watched said show I wrote about), he’d still comment about not having familarized with the wonders’ subject in my post and tell me what he liked about the post in general. Now because half of this post is about him, you are guaranteed to see a paragraph from yours truly in the comments section.

Thanks to the both of you for making blogging look like a truly attractive hobby. It goes without saying; this is in no way an end of my appreciation for either of them. There will always be more of it as long as we continue to do great things — not staying still like I am right now. I’m not talking about us three only. Like I’ve said, if wild Raistlin has appeared on your blog then there’s a good chance you’re already doing a great job, bravo!

I’ll leave the nominations for when I get back home to edit this post on my PC. Man, I’m getting really good on making posts with my phone~
