We have done it, guys!
Our beloved heroine takes the Heavenly Tiara for 2017 International Saimoe League!
She truly fought hard against the like of more popular waifu such as Rem, Shiina Mashiro, Asuna Yuuki, Tohsaka Rin, Saber and even Megumin.
After eight rounds of elimination, Megumi’s win over EMT wasn’t even a close one despite Re:Zero being estimated four times more popular than Saekano in both the West and Japanese community. It could have meant more ‘popular’ votes for Emilia but clearly Megumi has won some hearts over to her side. It is also vaguely saying that the votes came from more than just anime fans of the West.
I say let this be a lesson of taste. Popular stuff in the West are more likely going to be avoided by the Asians lol.
The number of voters has also been increased by a considerable amount since last year’s sudden voter drought.
Just take a look at the League’s previous years:

The highest number of votes in any given finale has gone to Misaka Mikoto (9208) of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, back in 2011. In case you don’t know how it works by the looks; only battle number 1 counts in the final, because it’s the ‘final’ battle duh. Number 2 and others are just there to battle for consolation places since they have lost. And if you actually checked out the link you will notice that Tachibana Kanade has a whopping 9993 votes with others on the right hand side making it above the ten grand mark, beating their opponents by an extremely large margin.
That’s what I called, “destroyed, bitch.”
Their standings are mostly affected by popularity even if ISML tries to deny the fact. Saekano heroines were basically resting between periods of 2015 and 2016 and now they are legitimately in the A Game. With the movie announced, I don’t think Katou Megumi will have her tiara taken away from her anytime soon.
Oh yeah and, go support your waifu!
I know people who’d vote Megumi just to hate on Emilia haha. That being said, I’m an Emilia fan and I STILL ended up voting for Megumi.
She is love. She is life. And she’s just too damn precious.

Have you read the last volume?
If THAT gets adapted into anime, no other heroines in the pool will last against her!

Not yet! Is it a light novel or manga? As blasphemous as it sounds, I rarely read manga, but I’d probably change that just for Saekano.
