Spam nominating blog awards is like playing a mini game of hot potato toss

Take it while it’s hot; hand it out while it’s still hot, also!

Looks like some lovely *cough* people here really want to see me implode by endlessly nominating me for the Unique Blogger Award. So, here I am, putting the evil intents to their end!

Also, this is just a massive excuse for the fact that I am close to being inactive haha…

Let’s see…

Ayanocchi‘s questions

Q1: Would you rather only be able to watch anime that has currently aired (past anime) or every future anime to come?

Pretty sure this one is a no brainer. I can’t even keep up with currently airing titles so I don’t think that I want an infinite more in my watchlist right now!
That’s actually the scariest part; knowing that there is an infinite amount of shows to come. Sometimes I just don’t want to mess with the future. Being able to predict my own future is fun for most things, not so much when it comes to anime.
Last but not least, I have a thing for suspense… 😛

Q2: Which anime character best describes you as a person? Doesn’t have to be exactly like you or it can be a character you aspire to be like.

Can I please leave the answer blank for now? I just remembered creating drafts for the 30 day anime challenge and one of the questions is exactly… this. It’s basically a self-spoiler if I say it now!

Q3: If you had to be a specific Shinigami/Demon which would you be? (Ex. Ryuk from Death Note, Sebastian from Black Butler, Rory Mercury from GATE)

I am sure this one is heavily influenced by my ‘taste’ for anime. But Maou Sadao tops my choice in pure badassery, brutality, real human kindness, hate for infidels and romantic denseness that is to be rivaled with.

Oh. and he is a great worker in general—something to be admired by everyone!

Rin-chan‘s questions

Or rather, commands for my answers:

Q1: Favorite post you read this week.

Hold on, let me check my liked posts…

Gotcha fam! My most favorite post for this week is from Emily of Atelier…Emily. This week she has written an editorial for Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, on how the wobbly, blobby and kawaii character design is masterfully used to its full advantage within the show’s logic surrounding physical comedy. Seriously, I’m all for cute girls doing cute and not so cute things but never had I thought about how anime could really use the concept of endlessly poking on a sponge and feeling satisfied as it reforms back to its original form—how Yuuri gets the constant pokes yet she acts as if nothing ever happens.
Add personal experience into the editorial and Emily had me a laughter. Go and read it, the post will not be as boring as it sounds; she promised that much.

Q2: What is the best thing about your secret crush? (Does not need to be someone who “exists”)

Geeez, what is with the personal question? You already know that I like to converse. Is it that you are trying to make me write an essay or what?!

I will say this once more: I’m romantically dense af! I don’t think that I’ve ever had a genuine ‘crush’ on someone as the only two instances of it happened was purely out of curiosity. Though, lower the level and that ‘crush’ is mostly me taking the likes to people, which is actually something I’m much more comfortable with.
When it comes to the people that I ‘like’, especially when it is over the internet, the best thing about them is that I know next to nothing.
How about this—let me use you for an example!

Say… I like you (don’t blush, this ain’t a confession!).
Don’t you find that odd? I mean, I don’t even know your name yet human’s second nature suffices in making you a likable character. I don’t know anything else other than you being fond of drinking and that’s pretty much like majority of female anime characters loving strawberry shortcakes. The experience only gets better the more I know about ya.
Okay, I’ll hold back my creeps for now and use a waifu. I can’t name her yet since she’s in my 30 day anime challenge, but what I can say is since the story is still ongoing, the feeling is practically the same as there are many more things about her character I have yet to discover.

That is not to say getting to know you or any fictional character better will always mean a positive outcome. Let me also talk about a case where getting to know my fictional crush came back to bite me: Iori from Kokoro Connect.
She’s a real example of someone who puts on a face to impress others. Her playful personality in the early stage has got a big thumbs up from me. But whatever happened in the end… you find out.

And screw you for this question!

Q3: What do you wanna say to your boss/teacher/parent (whoever you consider an authority figure), who doesn’t read your blog!

Oh. I take it back. I can even answer this one in my sleep.

Well… read my blog, damn it!

Panties-kun‘s questions

Q1: I don’t like books, but I’m trying to change that. What’s a good book for a beginner to read, but something challenging as well that he’ll sit on the toilet and just look back on the experience?

I have recommended this before and here it is again: The Tomorrow Series. Start with Tomorrow When The War Began. Okies fam~
It is one of those books I was literally forced to read for my English subject. Never have I thought that I would enjoy reading books as much as I do now. If anything, reading books like those enhanced my ability to read subtitles in anime; the fruits of my hard work sure got transferred.

Q2: What’s your top three favorite movies of all time?

Same deal here. I used to loathe English subject and whatever the hell comes out of it. But now I will admit that I’m grateful that I was a part of the whole learning process. Just like my favorite books coming out of the lessons, two of my top movies are practically from the subject, too!

The Shawshank Redemption is forever a classic.
Precious would be another.
Then the third would be erm… American Pie: Beta House xD
I’m not even kidding. That shit made its huge place in my dic–
–my heart.

Q3: What two anime do you wish would do a crossover?

Here we go, for a guy who bashed me for asking him about his favorite crossovers! Though, I will have to admit that his question is logically superior… 😦

Though there has already been many cases of it happening, I still want more; I want it endless!
I would love to see anything with Shokugeki no Souma just because I’m that kind person. I want to see Souma strip the hell out of everybody and everything. It’s not even limited to humans with clothes on them. Miracles happen when any entity consumes his food.

What do you think happened to these girls? Find out in chapter 116.5!

Shokugeki no Souma Chapter 116.5

Fear not, evil has been vanquished! As for the nominations being hot potatoes, I will gladly enjoy the taste all to myself.

Admittedly I sure have hit a blogger’s wall so I’m just going to write random social stuff as long as people drag me into them.

  1. Gee….I wonder why that is that you get nominated every time. Let me think…erm..🤔🤔 Maybe it’s because your blog is really awesome and UNIQUE 😂😂 Seriously though: congratulations, you really deserve the recognition 😊 As always I really enjoyed reading your answers to the questions you were asked: especially the one about authority figures not reading your blog lol. Great post…and I am sure you will get a lot more nominations in the future 😀

    1. The anime character that best describes me is…

      …to be continued!

And which one? 100 names you may have but Irina ain’t one. 😛
Or don’t tell me that you are one of those people who use their real names as IGN for MMOPRG…

  2. yknow, tbh, i can’t love Shougeki no Soumaas much. I think it’s because I’m a generation that grew up with Yakitate Japan, and Shougeki seems like a more improved version of my show. I don’t want to admit that. xD
do you like me? *does a duck face* and lol, i understand about liking an online persona. MAL had a weird phase where people are becoming online couples, and then they’d leave comments like *kisses cheeks* *sucks face* like its a big reason why i am glad the site is half dead.
is precious really that good? really, in a list with Shawshank? I’ll hunt it down. it better be good.
i also know the feeling of being crushed by the ongoing shows. i thought i could keep up, but i can’t. hahaha

    1. I don’t think there is such thing as ‘something’ done better. There has to be distinguishable difference somewhere if you even care to look.
In the case that there really is a show that’s simple another show but done better, I would still deem them rare.

I wouldn’t joke too much about the whole meeting your fated one online; my brother met his now-girlfriend from League of Legends (possibly the worst place to catch a ‘fish’ online). And given their place in society and especially the girl’s personality, I’d say he basically won a freakin jackpot one in million chance lol.

Notice that top rated films by the Western audience is of drama genre:

Shawshank Redemption is more than a good film; it’s a few life lessons anyone can use today.
      http://m.imdb.com/chart/top
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/shawshank_redemption — a film with 98% of viewers liking it? Please
Precious is different kind of dark. With a female protagonist, things involved in the drama have a lot to do with self esteem and confidence. You can say that it’s part of what makes this phrase somehow valid today. “I’m a strong and independent woman who needs no man”.
Though, I cannot forget that these two films were forced onto me in hopes of being to study the process of analyzing films. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the English class and these two films in particular, this blog wouldn’t have any essays at all. It would just be colloquial troll for the most part!

As for American Pie… it’s just dirty comedy, says a lot about why I don’t mind trashy and filthy comedy like Eromanga-sensei and A Sister’s All You Need. xD

      1. have you seen Yakitate? it’s a campier take on the foodgasm idea, while shougeki is more shounen. the ideas are the same, and if you break things down, really, originality is even rarer. everything is always an upped idea of something, especially in anime since formula is a key. omg, did i hit a nerve with shougeki and yakitate? hahaha.

oh yeah, i think it’s more common place now, and forgive me, i’m from the dial up internet era generation where we go to bars and get reject 6 out of 10 times. hahaha. which reminds me, one of those MAL couples did end up getting hitched. a guy from the us eventually married this vietnma girl, i think, and their love story is that they met in MAL.

i’ve seen shawshank. don’t hate me, but i like it but i think its overblown by now. though overhype is a term acknowledging something good, you’re just too stubborn to accept it.

i heard the actor in precious had a big breakout role there, and the simspons parodied it. that’s all i know about. i might watch this december, since i like movie watching during the holidays.

and i like jason biggs. not the american pie series itself, lol. Orange is the New Black even made references to American Pie.
jebus shoka, i just woke up. ease up on the serious replies!!!!

      2. No you ease it up 😦
I won’t hate you for not liking Shawshank, I probably like it more than anyone because prison life yo. Corruption and such.

Precious’s protagonist is probably her only big role, God knows what happened to her after that haha

      3. ok. lemme defend yakitate with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZoQHH25mGM
context: our lead hero is up against the usual dochebag. a melon bread battle. opponent uses high class melon ingredient and confidently states she’ll win. hero uses melon soda or something, low class ingredient. judge eats >food reaction > hero wins.
isn’t that the same as the wagyu rice bowl beef battle in shougeki souma? this was the one i caught in tv, lol.

yeah, i heard the actor in precious kinda wasted all the good will she garnered in precious, but i hear her performance was amazing.

  3. Congratulations on the nomination!

Sadao Maou is pretty cool. I wish I was like him, too. He’s also living with the best waifu so he’s living the dream!

They should just let TOSH do all the drawing for SJ. Just kidding~
